Francesco Tavani / Cinematic Nights
Cinematic Nights.
Lights emerging from the darkness.
Reflections, cities and cinematic atmospheres.

The project
Cinematic Nights
Night is not a moment, but a state of being.
It is a space where reality becomes simpler and light becomes a narrative.
Cities empty, sounds fade, and what remains is essential:
contrasts, reflections, atmospheres.
In this work, colour is never merely descriptive.
It is an emotional tool, shaped to guide the eye and establish the mood.
Cool tones create isolation, while warm tones suggest a presence,
in a balance that seeks perception rather than realism.
The influence of cinema is inevitable:
the suspended atmospheres of Denis Villeneuve,
the storytelling light of Roger Deakins,
the tonal control of David Fincher.
Each image is conceived as a fragment of a story,
a frame without a film, where viewers are free to create their own story.
Lights, reflections, silences
When light tells a story.
